It is of my personal belief that Dungeons & Dragons 3.5th Edition is the peak of the High Fantasy Dungeon Crawler.

Whilst Pathfinder has more balance and just Better action economy design, and earlier editions of D&D or the OSR movement have better dungeoneering, I don't think 3.5th is contested in its sheer scale and depth. I've spent far, far too long scrolling the SRD, or various forums.

This also means I have alot of opinions about how bad it is. Because! Don't get me wrong; 3.5th borders on kusoge.
