Visigoth is a New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal/American Power Metal band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Like many Power Metal bands, their lyrics revolve around themes of Epic Fantasy, with Visigoth especially making many songs directly about different stories! 'Outlive Them All' is about Highlander, 'Hammerforged' about Karsa Orlong from Malazan, and the 'Bells of Awakening' EP one big love-letter to Dark Souls.
It's my long-shot daydream to one day, when it's finished, hear a Visigoth song about Ars Hyrannor...
Outside of their lyrical style, their musical style is a throwback, holding elements of 80s Heavy Metal (as the NWoTHM genre tends to do), with consistent melodic guitars, beating on in a heavy tuning. The singer, Jake Rogers, has a powerful and resonant voice, with long-held notes and majestic choruses.
